Dancing has been a constant thread in my life, weaving together my cultural identity and personal growth. It has taught me discipline, dedication, and focus, helping me to develop a sense of confidence and creativity that has spilt over into other areas of my life. Whenever I am dancing, I feel a sense of complete immersion and flow, lost in the rhythm and movements of the dance.
I began exploring Bharatanatyam at the age of 6 and have been drawn to the intricate footwork, the graceful hand gestures, and the emotive facial expressions that make up this beautiful dance form. Through years of training and practice, I have developed a deep appreciation for the rich cultural heritage and tradition that is inherent in Bharatanatyam. I was fortunate to perform at various platforms & events and won a medal in the senior solo performance category in the International Classical Dance competition organized by ICMDA (International Carnatic Musician and Dancers Association).
Pursuing a passion for dance and music is not without its challenges and One of the biggest challenges has been to navigate and maintain the balance between my interest in dance and music, and my academics. Beside Dancing, I enjoy singing and playing the Piano. I love reading and actively expressing my viewpoints on Global Cooperation and International Welfare through various platforms.
I am thrilled to perform my Bharatanatyam Arangetram on 15th April 2023 at NUS University Centre Theatre, Singapore. I am onboard my journey as a young Bharatanatyam dancer and excited to discover where the road ahead leads to.
